Bug I haven't seen mentioned: Battle Recorder list fails

    Grr.
Seems my battle recorder list for downloadable .demo files has failed for unknown reasons. It's always been this way for SF, but this is the first time I noticed it in BF2.

When you scroll down the list, it gets very jumpy and loses about half a page randomly. Every time I scroll to the bottom, I get a blank half of a list and none of the newst recordings are displayed.

Pain in the arse when you've just had a good round and want to review some footage.

    Has anyone else seen this?

I personally haven't EVER succeeded in downloading a recorded file from the bookmarks, neither in-game nor using battlelauncher

the .demo files are only saved on the server for a short perioud of time, normaly you only have half a day to download them.

Same here. It spouts some error message about failing to recieve the file or some crap. Even when tried 5-10 minutes after the game ended.

Ah.I guess that explains it. I only ever play in the evening after work and only remember the next day that I wanted to check out that .demo thing ;P
And it seems that the servers don't store it that long - thanks for the tip.

'Gimpy have you tried clearing some of your older BR's. I had to do this with mine and then the newer ones displayed. You can do it by going to your profile file and deleting the bookmarks in the demobookmarks.con file. Usually found here C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\My Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\0001(<<whatever your profile number is) Just remember if you delete them all the demo you want to see may not be there after. Try just deleting all the earlier ones. Playing on a server that has BR working will mean that you will accumulate quite a few BR files and if you dont delete them , you wont see the new ones.
Re not being able to download them, Alot of servers dont have it BR setup properly so therefore you cant download the files. I have ours set up to save 100 and it normally takes 4 days to rotate through them. So if you played on Monday, makes sure its downloaded by Thursday to be sure you have it.
