Ok, the way to do it, the mistake MANY people make in close-med range is they go prone, when that happens, it's easy to aim for the head, i can't tell u how many times i've dead cause in CQC i was prone with my MG36. Also, ya, use single shot for medium range or farther. Or if u have burst like on the M16, use it, it's accurate enough for that range.

EDIT: Oh, and WAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, 2500th post, total pwnage on the forum, i believe i am the fifth most poster on this whole forum, also i'm am now at the rank of Colonel. Wahoo, that's the highest normal infantary rank (y'know, non-general rank) now i'm just waiting for Brig General.

I can't believe no one hasn't mentioned this; aim for the head!

And support isn't the greatest for sharpshooting.

that was obvious but that wasn't the problem I was having, I can instantly put my sights on someones head at close/medium range now but it's the random bullet spread from the weapons that's giving me problems

but upon playing more and more I've found out other things

From shotgun range I don't even bother aiming down the sights anymore I just put the weapon in auto and aim for the head with the crosshairs while burst firing...many many kills this way

I think I kinda see why the G3 was made to have such crap accuracy. If you're lucky enough to get a headshot this thing kills people with one round every time (some other guns seem to take 2 or 3 especially the spec ops carbines) and to make the G3 as accurate as an m16 would've made it too devastating. Now that I'm better at aiming for the head putting the sights on someones chest is even easier now and I can quickly put three rounds single shot into someone with the G3 and drop them.

I got some insane scores with the medic AK-47 on Devil's Perch last night....like 45-8, 32-10 or so. I thought that gun was supposed to suck but it was really funny to fire a single round at someone running at you firing full auto and watch them crumble over. Really good stuff.

ya, the G3, AK101, and the AK-47 can drop a guy with one headshot, the G3 and the AK-47 are the only ones that can drop an ARMORED target with 4 chest shots, the others take either 5 or 6. ANyways, the G3 will be upped with teh 1.2 patch, they're improving the L85, all LMGs, G3, and all the sniper rifles.

It is funny because some guys on one server I was playing triedto get me banned for one shotting them with the g36 at long, long range. They were claiming I was using an aim-bot. Not true of course. If you place your weapons in semi-auto and know how to aim you can shoot them at greater distances and save ammo at the same time. I only use full auto when combat is upclose - really close. Anything at range an I'll use semi-auto. Once you get good at it, you'll see your k/d change dramatically. :laugh:
