BF2 Not Opening At All...

I just reinstalled Battlefield 2 after previously having this problem, hoping it would fix it, but it didn't. When I open Battlefield 2 (or Special forces) the Battlefield 2 launcher window (before the intros) pops up, disappears, and the game fails to open. However, BF2.exe shows up in my Task Manager, under processes, but the game doesn't open. Any ideas?

I had the same problem over the weekend, after reformatting my hdd. Forgot to do the graphics driver update, soon as I did the update up came bf2, unfortunately I'd already spent 3 hours uninstalling-re-installing tryng everything else LOL

This is easily fixed.
Just delete everything in the \my documents\battlefield2\profiles folder
You wont lose yur game profile cause it is saved on the EA server but you will have retrive your account settings when done.
