Haven't you noticed that the rounds aren't timed? As soon as the tickets (counter in the top right) of one team have gone down to zero then the round is over. Or if one team caps all the other bases and kills any reamining soldiers then the round will end too.

The second way could lead to a round only lasting minutes.

The rolls are donw then you strafe and go prone. You probably do them all the time without knowing it as you never know if you've done one or not.

Some rounds are timed - depends on the server. The round will only last as long as there are tickets though. There is no set time. If your team dominates the other and caps all the spawns within a minute - then the round is over in a minute - simple as that. Other times the rounds can go on for and hour or two.

The commando rolls are just animations seen by other players. You do not see yourself do the roll, and they have no significance in what you are seeing or are able to do. You will still be able to fire as quickly and accurately whether your charachter does a roll or not.
