MIC problem

I got a problem with my mic, it doesnt seem to work.

I used to have it work before I install SF...

just to let you know guys I got Sound Blaster 24bit LIVE! I went to control pannel and did the test for the mic again there is no meter moving, I changed the mic and still the same I got like 3 headsets with mic and they all didnt work and all used to work very smoothly.

any idea what causes this, I dont think it's coz of SF installation I did is it?

Did you test the MIC's in Windows sound recorder? If you do that, and your mic works, then you know it's BF2.

If that is the case, then go to the options>audio, then be sure to check "Boost Mic Gain" and adjust the little bar that says something to the effect of "Mic Activation Volume" (can't remember exactly what it says) Adjust it so that it is 0%. That's what I did, works for me now

PS Be sure if you have a Mic On/Off switch on your headset, its "On" ^__^
