I origionally installed the god forsaken 1.2 patch or something like that and they (EA) then released that it caused memory leakage and that i should uninstall and reinstall. so i did. then reinstalling didnt work, so i went back removed all the registration keys, all the files, everything related to bf2. I wiped my computer clean of it. And now, when i attempt to install the game, i get a frozen installation at objects_server.zip of disc 1. I dont know what to do. EA wasnt any help either.

Load the disk onto your computer and run it off your harddrive. -

i tried that. but as soon as it starts to copy the objects_server.zip file my whole computer freezes.Comment

Then you have a problem with the BF2 disk itself if it's unable to copy that file.
Could you try washing it in warm, soapy water and drying it with a lint-free cloth (the type for cleaning spectacles) by making round circular movements as opposed to strokes from the inner circle to the edge.Comment
