The human eye can not see the difference in anything above 30FPS but the only thing you can do is turn down your graphics or upgrade.

Hmmm, I think I will try out lower capacity servers, because I have a pretty nice machine and a good ping, but my FPS is terrible...

its not 30 fps. im pretty sure its like 72fps. Try setting your max fps to 30, then to 60. you can see a difference.

but umm, the more players in a server the less fps, no matter your system. Of course it shouldnt be THAT low I guess, are you running on all high?

Had the same prob with x800pro, 3.2 athlon, 1 gb corsair - Sorry our friend rogue maybe correct the only global fix i could get was by altering the settings, plays well all maps 99% of the time now.

I see what he's saying. Your eyes normaly "run at" 30fps. Doesnt mean we can't see a difference though. Above 30fps things just look smoother to us, and less choppy.

The 6800 GT is good but you won't be able to run everything on high.

I got a 9800 pro, and I run half med half low settings with 4X AA. I can go into a 64 player server and get 30 fps.

I go into same map diff server same number of people, and get like 5 fps...literally.

It depends on the server, at least thats what im noticing.

The human eyes don't "run at 30fps." They run at a million FPS, but after a set number of FPS (60fps) the gameplay becomes so smooth that we cannot tell the difference between how many frames we're seeing.
