                  Re: Testing my sig

                  Ok its all finished now

Here is some info that might help others.

Apparently for sig testing use this forum thread http://www.totalbf2.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=163

Additionally apparently their are rules on their use which can be found at

To create the signature I used GIMP (Gnu Image Manipulation Program). This is an open source software product that is freely available with simple install for windows. You can download it from http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/

The final product is a PNG (Portable Network Graphics) image they tend to stay crisper and have better compression. To do this I used gimp defaults but got rid of interlace as it was problematic.

The image hosting site I use which is extremely quick and simple can be found at http://www.thefreeimagehosting.com/u...main%20Hosting

To create it I got the images of the net and merged them into what you now see. The following is a list of site where I got the images from:
                  Weapons from http://ubar.bf2s.com/
 Ribbons and medals from http://www.blackknightsclan.com/bf2awards.asp
                  Silver Star from http://www.junglewraiths.net/medals.php
 Renders from the fan site kit available from EA at http://www.ea.com/official/battlefie.../downloads.jsp

                  I hope this helps

                    Re: Testing my sig

                    My advice:

Background is kinda...grating on the eyes.

The image needs to be a link as well, don't bother to put the url as text in your sig....The medals like gold bronze silver should say how many you have....

Why go through ALL this trouble, when you could simply link over your stats just like this from "tehsig.com" or any other similar site...

                          Re: Testing my sig

Its far too big for the sig rules, and the browny colour is kind of straining, but the other parts are all good.
