Well, I uninstalled the drivers and just installed the stock ones that came with the card (catalyst 5.9) and it just did exactly the same thing. I can run around, fly a chopper etc, but 3-4mins in it just locks up then reboots.

Nothing i soverheating adn the card/system etc work fine on other games (Battlefront 2, Need For Speed Most Wanted, World Of Warcraft to name a few)

I am totally stumped, I even tried my old Radeon 9550 in there, it ran but then locked up just the same, tried it without the Audigy 2 in there with sound disabled, with all details set to min, zippo nothing going

Someone reading this may be able to help :)

Totally uninstalled, removed all references, patches etc.
Reinstalled, game loaded now and leaving running to see what happens

The 5.13 run fine for me, Allso make sure your audigy drivers are the last ones not the Beta http://uk.europe.creative.com/suppor...ame=Windows+XP
Allso try and take the side panel of the system, Could be over heating

I forgot to ask you if you have put every ingame vid setting to low, soundcard to low, 800x600res, see what happens then. I also noticed you are running sp1, I would get sp2 and make sure you have direct 9.0c

Yes I set everything to low, I even disabled sound, SP2 installed and same result, going to test memory now. (same thing happened under win xp x64 sadly) so yes maybe memory or driver, will edit this post after memtest has run

memory passed diagnosis (on both standard and extended) using the microsoft memory tester.

If it was a memory issue surely other larger games (WoW for example) would also exhibit issues.

I note for Googling about that this problem seems to be entirely ATI card orientated :@ no wonder it has NVidia stamped on the game :'(

Ok, lets get this thing to work. Have you turned off your firewall, antivirus, spyware, auto updates, ALL background processes(running only what is needed for pc to work). What kind of Internet conn. do you have and what speed? Your pooter looks fine for running this but you have to start a square one. Have you installed the 1.12 patch? Using the Omega Radeon drivers I've managed to get the game running in Low, so now its a case of trial and error to up the details :)
