    hep bad lag ( I searched )

    ok Im experiencing bag lag, YES I have read all the lag threads and im still getting it


    sometimes its fine, other times it REALLY ****es me off cause I die!

    system specs

    p4 2.8 ghz
    2.5gig ram
    bfg 6800 gt oc
    soundblaster SC
    roadrunner 5mbit service

    things I have done to solve

    TCP optimizer
    updated punkbuster
    put my video card settings to default because I used to have it overclocked.
    deleted the cache
    stop all background processes
    log out of IM services


    now ill be honest, I always thought my system could handle EVERYTHING I high with 4x anti lansing am I wrong???? ( everything is on hi now ) should I change it?

    what should I change it too?

    You should be able to run it high smoothly.

      From looking at your system, yea you should be able to get near all hgh if not all high. But do try to wind back some things and see how it goes if you are gettin gthat bad lag.

        there is that site for reduction of BF2 lag tips....things like renaming the EXE, adjusting your agp aperture, and adjusting a punkbuster setting. those are the 3 i tried with fair result.

          That is a good site:

          Thye offer several tweaks and advice. Make sure you ahve done the basics:
          Shut down the services you dont need. (backgrond stuff)
          Shut down antivirus stuff
          Install new drivers for your videocard
          update your motherboard bios
          make sure that you defrag your hd regularly
          etc.
          etc.
          etc.
