    Verifying Client Data Times

Can anyone explain to me why on some servers Verifying Client Data takes 30seconds or so & on other servers it is instantaneous? I thought it was a standard PB process that should in theory (because it is client side) take the same length of time on the same pc. The difference is way too large for it to be a process or resources issue.

i find that green servers and yellow servers are faster than the red ones. its their CPU usage, and when its at green its almost instantaneous, which is why i keep them in my fav list

Or the fact that some servers aren't running Pure Mode. If you see a server that doesn't have the right most icon showing, it does not have Pure enabled.

The icon I am talking about looks kind of like a computer monitor. That represents content check enabled servers (Pure Mode). The problem with servers not running Pure Mode, is it allows for alot of manual file editing to enable users to cheat in games. PB only checks what is loaded into memory by default, so Pure Mode has to do the rest.

I've got about two that I can see that are yellow, ther rest are red. This can't be it as I experience the difference in many servers- stasticially too many for it to be a server CPU usage issue.

As I said, the difference is great- sometimes a couple of seconds, sometimes 30 seconds

I remember that I was in a server last night where I recognised that the Verifying Client Data time was almost negligible, and I came across a Sniper that was firing off sniper rounds a quick as a pistol.

I saw he was a sniper so I engaged him at close range to get an advantage- close enough to see that he didn't have his pistol out.

This was the reason for asking. I was suprised as I ensure that I only join PB enabled servers

Yah, PB only does half the job, which is why Pure is necessary. Even if you join a server without Pure, it always seems to show that content checking is taking place for just a split second, but it isn't really taking place. I would probably avoid playing on servers without Pure running, it is just an invitation for people to take advantage of a situation. You'll probably notice another similarity in the browser with servers not running Pure in comparison to those without, I think it is ****ty of EA not to take care of it either.

            [EDIT]

I had to edit my previous post, it is the icon that looks like a computer monitor.
