Yes this is correct, on some servers you have to aim (for a head shot) just to the right or just to the left of the ear area. You may need to waste 3 shots to find out which it is. Its different on different servers and sometimes on different maps. Remember a kill is 2 points and a kill assist is one so when you are just starting out try and put at least one shot into all enemy soldiers. You can tell that you hit them they will try and get cover. Also move from location to location, the guys you kill will come looking for you and have an escape route in mind at all times. As a new sniper you probably wont be able to kill anyone going head to head at 20 meters, Its a lot easier to retreat to a new place and try and get kills from there. Hope this helps. . . . . .Red
A tactic I love useing is changing positions after killing a few people. Then moving to another spot, one that gives me a shot on my previous spot.
When they come looking, BOOM dead again.:laugh:
This game is really starting to bug me now.. There are so many little bugs and lameness that ruins the experience...
Base camping gets REALLY bad at times. (And I don't mean they just happen to be there when trying to take your flag, I mean they sit there with their tank and just kill you)
People just dont die... (I have video of someone having an anti tank missle shot RIGHT at an enemy from standing above a prone enemy for the enemy to survive to then ME shooting the guy and he killing ME..)
The accuracy is beginning to be a joke. Someone will be RIGHT in front of me prone, but his back towards me, and i'll aim and shoot RIGHT at his head, and it'll say I hit him but not a head shot, so i'll shoot him right in the back twice more (he doesn't know where I am) and he still doesn't die because somehow i'm missing when half his body is taking up my scope. And before people say "You just suck" I have video from fraps to prove it. I know it's probably lag, but sometimes it's rediculous. (My ping is usually 50-80)
A lot of vehicle whores as well..
I swear this is the best worst game i've ever played. It's like one minute its the best game i've ever played (even if I go 11-12) and then it's the worst. I want to enjoy it so much because it is fun, but it's very hard to not get frustrated.
every weapon in the game is good if used correctly. for example, m24 is accurate, and should aim for headshots rather than anything else. the m95 is a little harder to aim at the start, but u'll get used to it. what i love about the m95 since i already got used to it is that as soon as i inflict damage with the rifle, i switch to pistol ASAP to kill them instantly since the m95 will leave about 1.5 bars left in them. easy peazy. if you master the m95 you have no excuse to miss with the m24. SDV and type 88(yes people it has a name) are fairly good if you can land a headshot, but if you suk, hey! just go full auto(unless if you're firing far away, carefully aim)
Ohh and dont worry some days you have good days, some bad. get a good night sleep the next day is a brand new day...
O god people here we go with the m95 vs. m24 thing again....
M95 does same dmg to all infantry targets, armored or not....lowers you down to two bars. Its confirmed. M24 will do more dmg to a guy with no armor than a kit with armor. Confirmed. Chest shots are never one hit kill unless the guy has already been dmg already. Confirmed. Head shots are always one hit kill...pretty sure...

Don't aim for the head unless you are a sniper and/or if there is no other part of the body to hit. Your chances of killing someone are way greater if you aim for the chest since 1 hit headshot kills are ONLY sniper rifles...at least im pretty sure...
Also, there IS bullet drop, its not lag. And you have to lead your target if he is moving, there is bullet travel time as well, its not instant like in CSS.
First of all, always go prone because if you stand you will lose accuracy. Second, like everyone says, this game has some realism in it at least alittle. Bullet drop, which is the bullet dropping because of gravity, really only effects you if you are sniping from long range. Third, if a person won't die, simply you are not hitting him. If you have a small "x" come up on your crosshairs, that means you hit him. If that comes up and say you keep hitting him repeatedly and he still won't die, then that means lag. Your ping is low, you won't have bad lag but when it is a laggy server, you will be laggy nonetheless. It may not effect you it may seem but it will. Fourth, AT rockets are the most accurate/ powerful handheld weapon in the game. It doesn't have good splash damage though. You can shoot it at a person but it pratically has to hit directly. Also, when going up to cloe quarters, full-auto sometimes isn't a good thing. Controlled bursts work the best even at close range. Long range=short bursts. Short range= long burts. I suggest not putting on the burst weapon firing mode but to just do it manually. If you spray and pray at a guy but he kills you first, he was probably shooting at the upper half of your body and hit your head or something really damaging.

I do snipe. That's what I meant by "looking through scope." So if there is a bullet drop so I should aim a little higher? Also, the china or "terrorist" sniper rifle (the one thats semi auto) has a weird crosshair. (Half triangles) Do you aim by putting the enemy at the tip of the triangle or inside.
