How do i play maps in single player?

i added the two map pakcs to my install but i cannot get them to show in the map list

any help is appreciated

You must create a local server in multiplayer to play custom maps

but can i get bots on in that way?, i dont have an internet connection suitable for online play right now, as im waiting on my adsl to be migrated over

You can't play custom maps in Single Player

Making a Local Server will not have any bots.

There has to be a work around. Where are the SP maps located. I'd love to look into this. I badly want mashtur city in SP.

There are no separate SP maps; SP is just an extra component in some MP maps. There is currently no way to add SP to MP-only maps. Only EA/DICE releasing the navmesh creator (supposedly in the next release of the editor) or someone reverse-engineering one will allow this.

The Allied Intent Mod adds semi-custom maps. It doesnt add any new maps but it does add the Kubra Dam (a MP only map) and larger version of maps that are normally in BF2 SP and is very well done with the new weapons and extra vehicles since the bots will use them and go to the CPs. There is also a mod that lets u use all of the 64 player versions of the maps for BF2 in single player.

I was just reading about Allied Intent on BFSP forum; apparently the Kubra SP hack is not entirely stable. The "expanded" SP maps are really only expanded for humans; the bots are still restricted to the area covered by the original navmesh (unless they can spawn in a plane or helo). There are also SP maps available for the Mercenaries mod (which also work without it) which are actually heavily-modified versions of the original SP maps.
