My Ping Is 350!!!!!!

I really have no idea wut the ping is, but i do know that you want it to be low, the lower the better. My ping is currently at around 350.
The game is really glitchy and choppy. My internet speed is "54 Mbps" and the connection is "very good". Any suggestions to lower my ping. Please i need some help. And, try to explain it really well, because im not great with computers, and im new to online gaming.

Try using a wired connection.

Yor internet connection is not 54Mbps, that is your wireless connection speed, your internet connection speed is much lower.

my friend said that his laptop was limited to 54mbs....
If you are on wireless... hard line it...

Try using a wired connection.

I am using a wireless connection, but i wont be able to get it wired. Is there any other possible way to lower my ping and get bf2 to stop lagging, while keeping it wireless?

Not likely. Wireless isn't very good for online gaming, at least not on high end games.

If you have access to the router, reboot it. But, if your on a shared line, say a college or something of that kind, your ping is going to be somewhat high. Even though they have fiber speeds. Plus, as they said, wireless is not too good for gamen. Upgrade to the new 108mb wireless, which if your on a college campus, or something of that kind they most likely haver the WAP's to handle it.

My connection is not anything big, basic Verizon FIOs (Fiber) 30 Mbps/5 Mbps (Kinda slow because its a BETA Network), I work for Verizon so we get half off.
