Help RE: Rank and Unlocks

Hiya,

I have pre-searched the forums but could not really find what i was looking for.

Here are my current stats http://bf2s.com/player/ToggleJR/
I am having trouble getting to the next rank, it seems to be taking forever! Im not sure what im doing wrong... I play on Ranked servers aswell. Im trying to get the Unlocked gun for Anti-Tank.

Could anyone tell me how you do get your rank progress bar up? Is it more Kills ect? Does it go down if you die lots?

Your rank cannot go down, Only up. What matters is the rate it goes up.

You can increase its rate by simply finishing each round with a lot of points. So just do whatever possible to get more points without stat paddling. The easiest way would probably to Play on StrikeOnKarland 24/7 servers as a medic or support class, and spam packs everywhere. Personally, I just kill a crapload and always have 100+ by the end of the round, but for you, just spam packs everywhere.

you need 536 points. Kills bump up your global score the fastest, so keep on killin.

Man if you think a 1,000 points is alot to get, just wait for the jump from gunnery sgt to master/first sgt... a good 12,000 points.

Kills=2points
Revive=2
Heal=1
Neutralize= I think 1 point
Capture=I think 2 points
Kill Damage assist=1
Repair= unknown(haven't played engineer that much)
Resupply=unknown(haven't played support that much)

Those are the things that give you points.

Do these things and they are added to your global score which are the points that add up till your next rank and keep on going.

If you neutralize or capture, you get 2 points, but if you get either as an assist, its only one. I think repair and resupply are just 1 too.

thats great thanks... do you get heal points from people picking up your medkits on the floor? only really noticed it when im healing enxt to them.

Antoher thing is, at the moment im using the first Unlocked gun for the Medic, is this a wise choice or should i revert bck to the default medic weapon?

And one more thing... whats the best thing to unlock next?

Skitzo said Heal = 1, which is you standing next to them or them picking up a pack you dropped.
Supplying Ammo will get you more points than healing, but it's easier to kill as Medic and you get 2 points for a revive, so Medic and Support are pretty much even.
Your next unlock should be the Spec Ops G36C.
Dont bother with Engineer and repairing if you want points.

That's a personal preference really. A lot of people love the l85, but I like my regular m16/ak.

It's 30,000 points, not 25,000....Lol...I'm just a mere 11,000 away from it....joy. Try to get all your basic badges before hitting 20,000 points, otherwise you will never be able to make first sgt. Same applies for sgt major, if you don't have those badges at the time of promotion, you'll never get the rank.

Heh, did you play BF2 when it was release? You know, I was really happy when I got to Sergeant and "only" had 25 000 points 'til the next rank. Then I got really happy once I reached Staff Sergeant at 50 000 points, and then... I got real ****ed when DICE decided to lower the requirements and everyone suddenly was Staff Sergeants and above :S But I guess it's a good thing... I just think it happened too fast.

i wonder if thell lower the rank for 2nd lt in the next patch to something like 100000 or something lol
