When I try to connect to the account server it just hangs at "connecting to account server". When I use another log in that I just made, it connects right away without a problem. Why can't I connect to my old account? Has this happened to anyone else? It has been like this for weeks now. Should I just call EA and have them fix my account since it is obviously server side?

The same thing happened to me while I was playing. My game and computer crashed at the same time and I was unable to log on to the account that I was playing at the time my computer crashed, yet I was able to log on to new accounts.
Uninstall ALL parts of your game, including your profiles, gamepics, etc... - unistall every aspect of BF2 on your computer. Then reinstall and retreive your original account, and it should work.
