Engineer TKs

An engineer places land mines on the ground and are clearly marked for teammates, how/why is the engineer screwed with a TK and point reduction because some 13yr old brat doesn't understand what a red "Jolly Rodgers" means?

Not only punks running over marked mines but a kid ran into my 6wheel buggy with his ATV that was strapped with C4. Blows us both up and I get hit with the TK. Of course the kid decide I was clearly at fault for doing no more than driving to the battle. I always thought car bombing was the way of a coward and skillless way to fight. I was wrong, it does take a lil skill to determine good/bad guys.

I try to give a TK a fair judgement if he kills me. If I stick my head around a corner and catch a Claymore in the mouth I typically forgive unless it was place in our base at the start of the game. Hell, say you're sorry, I might not even punish then.

this is a fact, but also I want to remind you about the mining abuse, some engineers just put there mines everywhere, blocking teammates more then enemy's

Whats really bad is being sniper minding your own business on a nice secluded hill with yur claymores guarding you only to have a badly damaged friendly attack chopper fly by the claymore. Claymore explodes blows up helicopter then insta punished.

Or you put claymores at the top of a ladder to protect you and some retard on your team decides to walk into your mines then punishes you... Thats what all my teamkills are for. But I have found 2 servers where people will get banned for abusing the punish tk.

I once played on some server, where it showed in a big text who punished and who not.

If someone had like 4 forgives and 2 punishes, he wouldn't be kicked, but if he had 0 forgives, 4 punishes, bye bye (The admin checks him out, it could be abused to heavily if not)

I think EA need to fix it so that you can't TK with mines after say 30seconds, that should stop people abusing it.

If I step into a claymore from Sniper teammate...well thats just my damn luck. I'm sorry to have tripped his defenses and forgive him. I also will stay clear of a lone teammate after hearing the crack of a large rifle. No blue dot and rifle crack...time to hunt.

Hey - be happy - at least now people have an option to get around them. If some dumbass engineers mine the only ways out of a flag - at least you can toss a grenade, or shoot them with a tank or APC to get rid of them....before they get rid of you. Ever since the patch fixed that - I hardly ever see mines down.

I agree with led, and have said it here before. Allow the Engy to be exempt from punishment after a time period. The other thing I'd change is cap the max punishment to just the driver because there's nothing worse than getting insta-banned from your own server because some yahoo in a Vodnik drove his squad over one of your mines.

That is true. But that is not an excuse to run them over and get killed by them. All you have to do is throw a grenade by them and they will explode, then just drive on by.

rarelly see that happen, sometimes i feel that if i go to the middle of nowhere in a corner of the map far away from everything and everyone and put a mine under water there is allways a moron that goes there and gets tked by it (sometimes with a jeep full of ppl willing to push the page down button).

there are stupid ppl everywhere, i wish it was different :\

Yea being Engineer suxs for the tk's, for some reason kids are to happy spamming page down, layed a mine, idiot ran over it, got four tk punishes then was kicked. Maby EA should just make it so that mines can't kill friendlys, easyest and most effective way to solve it, it's useless being a engineer cause of idiots. And another thing, if i'm at base, and place a mine on the road leading towards the enemy, you don't have to run over it, you CAN go around it, and you CAN just not punish tk for being such an idiot, you DON'T have to tell me not to mine around base, and you DON'T have to run over it just to puish tk me. The number of times people die from runing over a mine that's next to a flag is actually pritty high (real kills) and no, im not noob, I do not block of bases and put mines were they shouldn't go.

I did something different for a change.
Played in Iron clash map. I was a US anti-tank pimp. There was one of the medic nearby droping the medic packs around. I aimed and shot a boat with anti-tank tube. Unfortunately, that medic moved right in my missile path. Instance kill. I got instance TK punishment. So, what I to do? I dived right in and picked up his medic equipment. Used the pad and revived him back. Got some points back, and a "Thank you" in return.

I was shot for my sniper once in karkand...
What did I do? I didn't punish, choose medic, found my little "friend" and shot him. Teabagged him a while, then revieved him, letting him keep his sniper. That earned me a "thanks" and a "Lol".

Then we both made ourselves a squad and litteraly stole the socks underneath our enemies. Sooo Sweet
