Commanding and OtrA badges

Honsetly, What the heck does being commander have ANYTHING to do with getting your badges?

You could just as easily sit in a boat under the carrier for 10 minutes as a normal soldier and get the transport badge than be a commander while doing it.

Is it because ANY kills you get by arty goes for the certain class you're using at that time? Thats why people recommend being commander for the basic sniper badge? If so, still, Killing has NOTHING to do with getting the transport badge in this case.

But you are wasting time sitting in a boat if you aren't commander, its better to command so you don't just sit there getting no points.

See in that thread, Someone asks how they got their basic transport badge and several reply by sitting in a transport as COMMANDER.

In another "How do I get my Basic Sniper badge" thread, everyone replies to be a commander while using the kit.

After reading those, Thats where my question comes from. What does being commander have ANYTHING to do with getting that respective badge?

OH. Excuse the previous ignorrence...that explains being commander for the transport badge.

But then, what does that have to do with getting the sniper badge for example?

i was a commander using the sniper kit thats how i got it today(basic)

just get the kills anyway in sniper mode and they count. Its not hard, apparently, to get easy kills with arty. You dont get the points but they apply to your global kills, when commander. I learned this by reading posts on here. Hope this answeres your questions
