I have used programs to see if I meet Minimum Requirments and it says my vid card does no pass.

I have a Radeon 8500 Series video card with 128 mb of video RAM.
I have 512 mb of RAM
(I know I need a facelift for my computer)

When I play the demo when I try to join a singlplayer game it freezes on me even on the lowest settings.

sorry i dont have an answer to your question, but what program do you use to see if you computer meets the minimum specs??

Do not use the direct link

Try going to gamespy and search Battlefield 2.
Select it and under the Game info box should be a link to it

You have the minimum requirements for everything except the processor, Have you stopped all background tasks before launching BF2?
Is your AGP at 4X or 8X?

Also, you may want to upgrade your PC before you play BF2. With your specs I don;t think the game will run smooth at all and probably won't be very fun to play...

Your Processor is the only thing that is above the minimum, Have you installed the latest Drivers for your Video Card,

AGP is the slot your video card is plugged into, You can ste the 4X or 8X in the BIOS.

I suggest something better than that for BF2, And at least a Gig of RAM

Go to www.ati.com and update them, Then try to play.

Also, what are you using for a sound card?

I can't find out whhat my sound card is.

First try updating your video card drivers then see if you can play, Then we'll go from there

nar my mate has this card and only half a gig and is on faster and has no probs with lag i have a better card and 1 gig but have probs loading and lag
