Strange Problem When Re-Installing

I just got Special Forces, and when I went to install it, it said that I didn't have BF2 installed (Which I obviously did, since I had just been playing it the day before). So I thought "Hmm....I'll just reinstall BF2 and see what happens."

So...I uninstalled BF2, then went to go to re-install. I clicked the "Install" button, the install shield loading bar goes across and....everything dissappears. I wait five minutes, and still nothing has happened. I'm at a loss...it installed just fine the first time, I can't figure out what is up.

Any help would be appreciated :hmm:

The installer is screwed up.

Start > Run > type "%temp%" and hit enter. Delete everything you can in this folder, and try again.

This prolly wont help but on my slower computer this used to happen with some games where I had to wait for ages but once it started it was fine. If what the person above me said doesnt help then I hope I can.

I did as you said and there is no change in the installer. :hmm:
