Do you have to have PUNKBUSTER?

I am thinking about getting this great game but i was wondering if you have to have punkbuster. I am new here so i am not sure if this post should even go here.

Once you instal the game it will be installed for you from the disc.

I don't...think so...but why wouldn't you want it? It helps keep hackers and crap out, though there are hacks that beat it, still helps keep the game from being overrun (like I hear call of duty 2 is just full of them)

There are quite a few, but they are so easy to spot, they get banned amost immediately. Also, IW said they they will be implementing PB shortly.
