Servers that disable mec squads

Have you ever been in a server that has mec squads disabled but US squads enabled? IT seems like the reason for doing this is to prevent teamwork on mec simply so that American always wins. Or is it a server bug?

It is really annoying when you can't even make a single squad and know you whole team is going to get owned because of it.

Yes I have seen it, try playing on KFS: Kentucky fried servers
This is a ranked server, and it is rank ok.
The MEC squads is just the tip o' the burg.
They also:
call everyone who kill them (they are always SAS): N#gger,f*cker,Sh#thead,f*ckface, a##hole, motherf%cker, and every other expletive on the planet
I told one KFS guy to tone it down when he called me a motherf%cking c$cksucking a##hole. He kicked me. He was the Admin! My ban message said "you have been banned for being a self-righteous piece of sh#t"
They spawn camp, bunnyhop, dolphindive, point farm, stat pad, they do it all. It is hands down the WORST BF2 server I have ever been on.
The funniest part of the Mech squad lockout was that they were talking mad smack to us for getting owned continously. Funny we couldn't ask for supplies, UAV or Arty support. So a bunch of us said, unlock the Mec squads and we will see who beats who. Guess what? Every one of us that said it got kicked.
THERE SHOULD BE AN INTELLIGENCE and EMPATHY TEST BEFORE YOU CAN RENT A BF2 SERVER!

Yes It happened to me to....I have also noticed some servers running maps that switch the teams around so that the same team always starts with the most flags. Maybe this is a new form of stat padding? I dont know. But it does seem odd that you play 2 games as USMC on Kirkand then go and play 2 games as MEC on sharky because the teams were swapped. Next I believe was shongoua, (I cant spell) of course my team was swapped to USMC for 2 games. Then Mashtour and we were MEC for 2 games. Im sure you get the picture. I also seem to be being moved from team to team during the game a lot. Last night I was moved every time I got killed. It makes it hard to get in a squad and work with those guys, then have to go and kill them. Then after that I gotta work with them again. I think I captured a flag 4 times, 2 for each team. I think I was the only one capping that flag. Not much fun IMO.....Red

AS a side note I think its time EA invested in some undercover players. Players who would play on random servers and report back to EA. I have a hard time believing they (EA) are alright with this type of ranked server. These people should Immeadiately loose thier ranked status.

u must have played on the same server we were on last night....I don't remember the name, but we were on Fushe Pass, 6 of us, 4 on US, 2 on China, and the Chinese team couldn't create a squad, while there were more than plenty of squads.

I haven't messed around with BF2CC to see if its related to that app, but my 1st inclination is that its an admin mistake, something in the .con file or through bf2cc was done wrong.....

Ive seen the hole swapping sides setup a couple of times very anoying you just get a squad sorted then you swap sides and have to remake the squad and then try and get the same people into that squad again. And the not being able to make a squad seen that aswell its complete crap gives the opposing team a massive advantage. It should be that it cant be a ranked server when they change things like that makes the game way unbalanced and unfair.

I play on moders ghost town and its a server bug, at least there. The spetz team can't make squads half the time. But sometimes neither can the SAS....

Indeed. I've had the same trouble on that server, and others. It's just another bug on the list.

IT wasn't the same server. It was GSF ranked 24/7 Karkand. I never play on Fushe Pass anyway...

the locked squad thing happened to our server two weeks ago .. rebooted and it went away ... very weird

Disapointed to find even the good TV2 servers admins have been keeping the best sniper spots and kicking everyone who tries to use them

OK guys its a bug, its not done on purpose and can't be done on purpose as far as I know.

You will probably find the server swaps teams at the end of the round using either BF2CC or modmanager scripts. Sometimes you can get stuck in a squad and can't leave. Sometimes nobody can create a squad.

This has happened on our server a few times. If its a situation where you can't create squads we will reboot the server to fix it. If its a situation where 1 person is stuck in a squad it will be ok again next round.

I have only seen it happen 3 times before so its not a common occurence and I can't remember whether it has only affected the MEC side or not though I highly doubt it.

no its a bug. you've been to dedicated wake 24/7 right? yeah it happens there all the time, but thats china.
