    Custom Localization File released

I'm offering up my English localization file for folks who don't want to get into editing the files but want a sharper look with a bit of flair.
This was uploaded at request, but I'm posting this not only to draw attention to a wonderful thread but to see if anyone else might be interested in these files.

I have included the mods shown by Saladfork as well as a few personal touches that I've left in by request. Anything can be changed by editing the file to your liking using Saladfork's instructions.

    -Weapons and Vehicles highlighted
-NATO names when possible ( a few execptions for the GL )
    -Events highlighted
    -TK's have a "special" highlight
    -Bonuses and Penalties highlighted
    -Modified several HUD messages
    -Updated 1/03/06

    Version 1.12! for Vanilla BF2

    "Phenom" Version Large Text v2

SF owners need to get this one in addition to 1 of the above files:

Why not just post the content here and save people the trouble. You are in effect stemming off Salad's thread. Either keep it in there or, create your own thread.

I have taken the liberty of quoting your links here:

This will absolutely have no effect on PB.

                    WHat is this?
A modification to the BF2 localization files to enhance some of the text and make certain things stand out better.

If you would like detailed information, visit Saladfork's awesome thread explaining what this does and how it's accomplished.

The "connection problem" message had been edited to utter curses at my ISP, but I didn't think anyone would "get" a Mediacom diss so I changed it up. :)
I'm glad a few ppl are diggin it.

That's pretty good stuff, man. It's good to know what killed you; helps you decide what kit to use in your next life.

I generally play 'under the influence', and these mods could help those like me keep the military nomenclature straight. Lots of times I'll get killed by an SVD or Type 88 or somesuch and not remember exactly what type of weapon it was that killed me. In an SVD a sniper weapon or a MEC APC? Sometimes I can't remember.

This mod can help keep me from respawning as assault in the same area that an APC just whacked me.

Yes, my main motivation behind editing the files was the fact that I was having a hard time discerning between the weapon/vehicle names even after playing since release.
Such as the M16A2 .... now did I get killed by the assalt rifle or the Tank of similar name(M1A2)?!? Is the M11-87 the shotty or the pistol?! And what the hell is a NJ2046 anyway?!
Now it's a bit clearer on what exactly killed you, or what weapon was used in a TK. :) This is a work in progress, and I may update the files for a future updated release or something if there is enough feedback/interest. Because I know even though I proofed what I edited, I'm sure there are things I missed or a mistake, there's a lot of stuff to sort through in that file. Thanks for trying it out & your input!
