    Crashing no clue why

I just built my new computer after xmas. BFG nForce 4 mobo, 3000+ Athlon Venice Core with 2gigs of PC3200 ram, and a new PNY 7800GT 256Meg PCIe card. Now BF2 freezes, even in single player mode. It just freezes the game and loops the last half second of sound then i have to restart. It happens in different places, either while loading, in the game, or after i click the join button. It even does it on another game called Chrome SpecForces. But it WILL NOT do it in Call of DUty 2??? I am lost. I thought it might be the sound, so i turned off my onboard and installed an old Sound Blaster Live my dad was using. Same problem. So i am now assuming it is my vid card. I saw on the EA site that the 7800 series is not supported.

So i am lost now. This is my first PCIe card and i dont have another sitting around to see if that is the problem. Does anyone have any ideas?

    Thanx

    Zack

P.S. i know there is a FAQ about turning down the hardware acceleration on the sound... i tried that too.

All current drivers installed? GFX card, chipset, sound, etc.

    The 7800 is supported.

I have updated the video, the bios, the latest sound drivers, everything. NVIDIA nForce4 Ultra chipset.

If you want all the info on the mobo check this link...its the only mobo that BFG makes.

Don't forget your PSU might be not providing enough power to your system.

You might have a faulty driver install. D/l DriverCleaner Pro and use that after you uninstall the vid drivers. D/l a new set of drivers and install them. See if that helps.
