    Simple Unlock Question

I searched the forums (all) and didn't find an answer to this question:

Do you have to have a certain rank to get the SF unlocks? If there is, what is that rank?

If not, I seem unable to play with the SF unlocks (I am a Lance Corporal) despite having played at least 12 hours on multiple SF maps on an assortment of SF servers.

I looked through all the posts about it, including the one snake replied in, and none mentioned anything about a minimum rank.

SF only grants an extra unlock to the upper ranks. The unlocks work like this (not including ranks with no unlocks) Lance Corporal is one unlock, Corporal is still one unlock and Sergeant and up are two unlocks. All unlocks can be chosen out of any vanilla BF2 and SF unlocks but you do need the vanilla unlock for a kit to be able to choose the SF for it.

I think that pretty much covers it.

In your BFHQ stats screen it should tell you how many points you are away from your next rank and unlock. Your question btw has nothing really to do with SF as such. You play, gain points, gain rank and get unlocks in the basic version of BF2 as with SF.

I bought SF when I was a Sergeant (still am one, but about to move up), so shouldn't I get three extra unlocks? So far I have only been granted one unlock and I seemed to get it randomly. Do all of the unlocks that I "missed" (by starting SF as a Segeant) just get granted to me randomly or am I missing something?

So what you're saying is the unlocks don't start until you go up in rank? If they don't, that's alright.
