About SF unlocks in normal BF2

I apologize in advance but I searched and didn't find a topic that answered this question. Anyway I'm getting Special forces expansion and I want to know about this whole unlock situation. My stats can be found here http://bf2s.com/player/IAIMFORTHEHEAD/ now can someone tell me how many unlocks I can get now and how many unlocks I can get on my next rank. I'm very confused and hopefully one of you can shed some light.

Play SF for 5 mins and kill 1 person.

You will get 2 "free" unlocks (you may choose a "normal" unlock or a SF unlock). When you become GS you will get 2 unlocks

So when I first get Special Forces and I play for 5 minutes and kill 1 person I get 2 unlocks. Then once I become gunnery sergent I get an additional 2 unlocks correct??

sf gives you 2 or 3 additional unlocks per promotion. I am first sergeant now and i'm only missing 2 unlock all together.

It gives you 1 additional unlock per promotion only.
What happened is that you were already GS (maybe) when you played SF for the first time, so you earnt "free" unlocks.

I was a Gunnery Sgt the day I bought SF and made MSGT the same day and ended up having ALL (BF2 AND SF) the unlocks by the end of that same day.

I don't quite understand how the other guy could be a 1SGT and NOT have all the unlocks???

As I have the G3, M95 and DAO12, I got the F2000 as there were no other SF unlocks I could get.

so if I get this right, when i am promoted to Gsgt I will get 2 unlocks - if I unlock the PKM and Jackhammer, as i have only 1 SF unlock so far, will I get to unlock the MG36 and MP7 as well, (totalling 3 SF unlocks) Or will I get the AT and Sniper upgrades in the 1.3 patch instead? Or will I just be Gypped and have fewer weapons than everone else cos I didn't unlock different weapons pre-SF?

No, you won't get any fewer unlocks than anyone else. You'll just have to use atleast one unlock for an standard BF2 unlock and can deside what you want to do with the other.

For example, if you want to pick up the engineer's MP7, you'll have to unlock the Jackhammer first.

so I'll get 2 unlocks upon my next promotion to Ssgt? can I use them both for original BF2 weapons?

If i do that will I be able to unlock the associated SF weapons also?

sorry for the confusion, but I can't play BF2 at the moment and I was just looking to find out what I am gonna get beforehand - Usually I would just get the 297 points i need to get promoted but no dice i'm afraid. (pun intended)

I will try to make this as clear as possible:

All of the unlocks you get can be used to unlock any gun whether SF or BF2 (with the exception of tier two weapons i.e.; the F2000 when you have not unlocked the G3)

When I played SF for the first time I was a Sergeant with about 3600 points, after my first game I received One unlock point. (I unlocked the G3)

Once I got 5000 points and was promoted to Staff Sergeant I received 2 unlock points.

I now have 5,979 points and have not received another unlock.

thanks, thats cleared it up.

Sorry for the ignorance but I wanted to make sure.

Am gonna get the PKM and G36c when im promoted next week :)
