2 x Points for Win

Hi All,

I am a little confussed about the 2 x points for victory. I have always thought the winning team gets 2 x the points they got in the round banked into their BFHQ untill yesterday when I was reading a thread on here and people are saying only the commander gets it. Please help.

For a while I was keeping track of all my points and I was recieving double points for a victory as long as I spent the entire round on the same team.

Any thoughts?

yup,sorry to disapoint you but it is indedd only the comm who gets it, no matter how much he sucks and didnt do anything for the team.

Now I get all those threads complaining about wining team not getting anything. I believe the winning team should get something in the realm of say 25% bonus. But I guess that would screw up the stats cause where would it be saved under (Team Score)?

autobalance would ruin that idea.

True that. I guess it is way to complicated to implement something like that. With autobalance, team swappers and stat recording.

The entire loosing team would disconnect from the server with 10 tickets left.

2x for commander only, and keep it that way :)

the commander gets 2 times the score the commanders score is the average of his teams most ppl dont understand how commander score works

The commander score is indeed average of the team score, then x2.... unless your score as commander is greater than the avg score when the round ends. Then it doubles THAT score. So if the avg is say 32, and your have earned 50 by yourself. Then you get double the 50.

I predict another endless thread about commander points :p

Any points earned by commander while playing by capping/killing/whatever do *not* count which is why, esp on 32 and 64 player maps, commanders shouldn't be driving about killing people. The only points doubled are the teams running average at the end of the round.

Not that I want this to be an endless thread about commanders score and I do believe its the average but I did read on BF2S.com that you do get points for combat banked into your BFHQ. Here is the link

Personally I think the commader should be watching from the sky if the teams are greater then 8v8..other than that let him run around (you need all the men u can get).
