nvidia driver

u guys know how when you pop in the bf2 installation cd the second option down is "nvidia driver". well which driver is it? Ive tried installing it and after clicking next a few times i get this error message during the installation:

"the nvidia setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware. setup will now exit"

can anyone help out? has anyone went though this installation successfully? thanks.

Why do you install the old nvidia driver that came on the BF2 installation CD?
Download the latest display driver from nvidia.com.
Do NOT attempt to install the driver from the CD.

oh so the driver on the cd is an OLD driver? i have geforce 7800 gtx and installed that driver from the bfg cd. do i need to install anything else?

Never use the drivers that come with a device allways go get the newest drivers from the web in this case go here http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_81.98.html and download the new ver. 81.98 for 32 bit windows

so what is the driver installtion for on the BF2 cd in the first place?

The one on the disk were the most current drivers when the game was released but now they're old.

I wish people woud stop being so lazy and just download the drivers themselves. It's prett damn easy.
