Game Crashing?!?!?!?!!

i was playing bf2 earlier today and then i quit and when i came back and tried to load the game it kept crashing to desktop before any icons came up....i tried reinstalling it twice and still it fails to load ... plz help any input would help

Reinstalling doesn't help unless you manually get rid of everything (reg keys and profile info).

There's a thread at the top of this page explaining how to do it so if you could give it a shot first and then come back to let us know it'd be cool
