    Weapon Unlocks in Singleplayer...

No, it's not the same question again... Actually it is =P

There is a trick that will allow us to "unlock" the weapons (extract a ZIP file, some edits, etc.)... The problem is that by doing this, we are forced to use the unlocks, there is no way to use the normal weapons...

So, I was thinking about this... When you create a local server or a singleplayer server, the "Allow Global Unlocks" option is always off...
I think we could "unlock" the weapons by turning it on.. The question is "How?"

I am used to do this (messing with game files) by myself but since my PC can't run BF2 I play it in a lanhouse; and I can't mess with the files. Anyone willing to help? SaladFork? :)

Unlike the original version of BF2, you can no longer just change a few values in a zip file and have it all done.

There are two methods to take, both of which work.

The first method involves modifying your host file so that it redirects all queries to bf2web to another server, and you just make sure that the other server responds with "all weapons unlocked".

The second method involves creating a new bf2 "mod", where the kits primary weapons are actually the unlocks. Basically, you switch the unlocks with the main guns right now.

Is there some public server that will give the proper response or do you need to set up your own?
