Hmm, make sure you have all the cables connected correctly. If it don't spin or read during your POST screen (when you first boot the computre) then either you don't have power, or you don't have the IDE cable on there corrrectly, OR it was DOA.
No. Hahaha, I bought it from Futurshop. I just like to sound sophisticated. All cables are connected proporly and it runs. It just doesn't want to seem to run anything. On attempting to play a DVD in the drive it freezes and takes up 99% of the CPU, making it impossible to do anything else except hitting the restart button.
