how to unlock tier 2 weapons

sorry if this has been posted befor but i could not find it. i am now a Sgt. and have the g3 already unlocked. i have both bf2 and SF updated wuth patch 1.12. Now my problem is that when i try to unlock the F2000 it wont let me. it will not show me the assault kit to unlock. has this happend to anyone else? someone plz help

from what i understand is u have to be higher in rank to get a sf unlock

u need to play a round on a special forces map in order to get the appropriate sf unlocks

I think I might be having a similar problem. After a couple of my first SF games, it let me unlock 4 guns. I unlocked 3 SF guns and 1 BF2 gun. But when I play any SF map, my SF unlocks don't show up, only my BF2 unlocks do even though it says I have them unlocked. When I load in a regular BF2 map, my SF unlocks show up correctly. It doesn't make sense at all. Also, I noticed the Assault kit has a flash grenade unlock in the BFHQ, but it seems it actually has a rifle unlock.

In Battlefield 2 : Special Forces you can only use the unlocks from Battlefield 2. For example; if you're a MEC SF Assualt, you can't use the F2000 as an unlock. However, you can use the F2000 as an unlock in BF2 Vanilla.
