Totally agree with those saying the sniper unlock should be the VSS 'Vintorez' Silenced Sniper Rifle.

Firstly, it's silenced. Secondly because of its relatively short range, which means the sniper can't sit on a hill a kilometer away; they can work in a squad and get in on the action. It also has a magazine that holds 10 or 20 rounds (10 being a little bit more balanced in-game).

Also its action is auto, selective fire :)

Awesome news, unlockable sniper is what we've need for ages. Had a little chuckle in the interview the director Lars is obviously getting his ass handed to him by our helicopter pilots so he goes and asks the patch man to take away half our rockets!

I finally got some good news in the patch.

Since I got stooged for unlocks in SF (I play Spec Ops and At as my main classes, and sniper as my fun\learn\alone class), and ended up using the Medic SF unlock more than the other 3 (since 2 of them got nothing. THEY LOSE. GOODAY SIR. Ahem).

I would'nt mind a MSG-90, give it m24 accuracy, with SVD recoil, and a touch more damage (maybe stick with m24 damage) and range and I'd be happy.

Well, I have a few "kits" this could be (or what I want):

Best Case for me:
The unlock keeps the DAO, but replaces the Eryx with the RPG (similar to F2000, which replaces smoke\nades with flashbangs).

Others:
Regular SMG (bizon, mp5 etc), RPG\Eryx, and Dumbfire AA (exactly like desert combat would be fine). No nades.

If they fix AA right, then they could make it a lock on AA manpad instead of dumbfire.

i'd like the L96 for sniper and a stinger for AT although it is for AA. having a javelin would be crap, because if you cant destroy tanks in 1 shot with it, there's really no point in having it, and the maps are too small for a javelin to even work
