new monitor= no BF2????

Got a new monitor today, I upgraded to an LCD, now when I try to start BF2 & BF2sf the title screen comes up then it flickers for a second or two like it's trying to set the resolution, then just goes back to the desktop, cant figure it out, any help?

Check the frequency at which you're trying to run the game. A frequency too high for the monitor can cause problems.

YOu need to reinstall BF2, then it will work. I had to do the same.

My friend had the same problem i just had him delete his my documents crap relating to bf2 and it worked just fine then.

Its a frequency / refresh rate issue. Try 60mhz then step up.
Have you fixed it?

All you have to do is delete the profiles dir in /my docs/BF2/ and then next time you run BF2 it will detect the new monitor.
