Also you can program a aim 7, a aim 9 or a 120c missile since its capable and designed to do so, imagine you are on a dogfight and your only missile is a 120c, it would be very hard to lock it from the TWS radar, so you could enable the heatseak mode from your cockpit and it would find a target.

I don't know but Battlefield 2 with the only heatseak capable missiles reminds me of BFV since it only allows one class of missiles.

I prefer Range While Scan (RWS) or Boresight. With a tight scan range the radar returns are much faster for those nasty furballs. And I really don't think you can changet eh programming on an AMRAAM. That's like saying you could change your car to a diesel engine whenever you felt like it. You can't just flick a switch and it becomes a heatseeker opposed to radar-guided.

          LOL sorry mate

now on the aim7 thing, the pilot would probably just shoot the missile, the gunner(backseat) or a wingman would probably be doing the lazer designator, F15 got carry two people, and there was more then one plane. And the way that missle was reacting it looks lazer guide it was not only following it was going ahead.

A stinger "anticipates" location by aiming a few degrees in front of the target. Look it up if you don't believe me.

oh my god the F-35 is so inferior its ridiculous. I always use it to steal the MiG-29 (my fav jet :) ) when I get a chance.

You ARE better if you can turn faster and sharper because you can lose the guy stuck in that POS F-35 trying to rake you with his guns (Every good pilot knows missiles are just TK's waiting to happen).

Way too lazy to look it up. I'll take your word.

IFF is located on the firing source, not the missile itself. Missiles themselves WILL go after a friendly aircraft if the circumstances are right.

Air to Air and Surface to Air missiles are designed to explode near a target, which sends out a lot of shrapnel to disable the aircraft.

The Tunguska is a great piece of AA weaponry. It fires the SA-19 missile, which is semi-auto radar. It uses line of sight guidance and can be used against ground forces.

When you are talking about the AIM-7 I assume you are talking about the Air to Air version. The surface version is the RIM-7 Sea Sparrow, or by it's other name the Sea Chicken. That is what I would imagine is being fired from the carriers.
