Can't auto-login from Gamespy or All-Seeing-Eye..

When I try to join a game from Gamespy or All-Seeing-Eye, it starts BF2, but stops at the account login screen. When I login, it doesn't join the server. I know this worked at one point, but how do I get it to automatically log me in and join the server?
I only have one BF2 account set up.

this is for ASE, go to tools>options>games tab. click on Battlefield 2, in the Program Location text box, add a space and the following to the end of the string.

+playerName YourAccountNameHere +playerPassword YourPasswordHere

this works for both vanilla and SF. if you pick a SF map from ASE, bf2 will start first, then shut down automatically and SF will start. it just a few seconds more.
