screen resolution

i have my pc monitor set at 1152 by 864 100hz when i play BF2/SF do i have to set the resolution in game options to match? does it affect performance.

You do not have to match it.

A higher resolution WILL negatively impact your performance.

So...we'd need to know your specs to make a recommendation. Otherwise, play around with it.

800x600 for a low end system
1024x768 for a medium system
1280x1024 and up for a medium to high end system
