i had the geforce 5700VE but a week a go
i haf buy a newer card the geforce 6600 and a new cooling
and i play on all settings high and it plays very smooht
but i can only set AA on 4X but on my friends comp
he can 6x AA and i want 2 know why he has it and im not
and is high settings is that the highste or not
i just want 2 know

umm if he as got it, its proabbly a game tweak nothing to do with gpx card ive got a 7800gt and i only get 4aa

I'm not sure but I think that ATI cards can set AA to 6x inside the game and Nvidia users only to 4x...

I'm just surprised you can play with all settings on high with that rig.

You must either:

a) be used to low performance and don't mind low fps
or
b) have one HECK of an optimized system

I must agree with Talus. You must have one hell of an optimized system cause I play on med and 2 x AA with a x800xl on AMD XP-M 2500+ @ 2.2 and I still get the occasional stutter. If I put it on high, well, it's not fun to see.

But more to the point, I think that others have posted correct info. ATI can do 6x while nvidia can do 4x. Although, this may be fixed through a modded version of drivers for nvidia, but since I don't mess with them, I don't know.

You can force the higher AA thru the nvidia control panel, but I dont believe the game will offer it on the in game selection screen, for nvidia cards.

yea i know i must change it on my nvidia menu
i have 8xSAA and 16xAAF and stil i get 30/66.5fps
