Bf2 wont start

Yeah I just bought bf2 today and when im done installing it i try to start the game but then it takes me to a black screen then to my desktop and the game dosent start. any ideas?

What's in your rig? First off make sure your video card is supported. Then update all your drivers. When I got BF2 I was running an ATI Radeon 9000 pro.(I do more music then video games) Well, BF2 didn't like my video card at all. I was forced to go out and get an ATI Radeon x700 pro. Not a bad card for the money. Good luck.

Well I haven't actually got a proper graphics card, just the in built video card that came with the computer when I bought the thing a few months back. I'm not much of a games man myself really, I use this to record tracks and chat rubbish over the internet, but it works fine with the likes of star wars battlefront II and San Andreas, the only two games I've bothered buying.

I think I'm coming round to the fact that I'm going to have to splash out on a graphics card. Curious, how much is the ATI Radeon x700 pro?

That's the problem. Integrated graphics will not work.
