Do you get a free unlock

I just bought SF and with regular BF2, I passed the 8,000 mark. Does SF give you a free unlock at all or would I have to wait until I hit 20,000 to get one SF unlock?

Play in a SF ranked server for at least a round, and wait for stats to update, then u should get 3 unlock choices since ur above 8000 points, u can pick SF or vanilla unlocks. Every rank from sergeant above u get a 2 new unlocks if u have the xpack, if u don't have the xpack, it remains at 1 unlock per rank above sergeant.

OK, so just to be sure, I've had vanilla BF2 for about 5 months, and am currently at about 21,000 points. I just got SF, so will I get a SF unlock for every vanilla BF@ unlock that I had?

The way it works is, from Sergeant upwards you get 2 unlocks. You can use these anywhere, either two BF2 weapons, two SF weapons, one BF2 and one SF weapon, you get the picture. The only prerequisite is that to get a SF unlock you have to have the BF2 unlock that corresponds with the class, so you cannot unlock a FN2000 until you unlock the G3.

You will get 4 unlocks at that rank.

Even if you don't have the xpack, you can unlock those weapons on your friends computer who has xpack. After you do this the next time you rank up, new unlocks are pickable in vanilla bf2 too.

My mate has 1790 points. Should play SF on his account. When we will be able to get SF unlocks? Haven't appeard yet.

He needs to get to the sergeant rank, from that rank on, u get an extra unlock if u have the xpack. SO right now, he won't get any SF weapons at all.
