    Flare hack

Just seen it today. I was chasing someone down and he dropped his flares. Seems like an ordinary situation except for the fact that his flares kept on coming and coming like a shower of fireworks. I chased the guy down for a good min or so and he was dropping a shower of flares the whole time without waiting for them to recharge. Sad day for BF2 pilots.

Don't have one unfortunately. A video would have been more useful anyway.

A screenshot would've sufficed. It could've shown the chain firing of flares.

It all happened so fast. I don't even know what key to press for screenshots. I'm going to backtrack a bit and chalk it up to an unintended "glitch". It may have been a hack but I'm not too sure. Of course, there was an idiot spamming cheats on these forums earlier today so it makes for some intriguing possibilities.

..screenshot is what else than, "PrintScreen".

Also, it may have just been one of those graphical glitches that show if you do something too fast, like C4, throwing it out too fast and switching to detonator, ect ect.

I know printscreen is for screenshots. I can't be bothered to printscreen something and open up mspaint to paste a pic in. Too much hassle and whenever I use printscreen in a game that doesn't allow you to take screen caps, I always forget to paste the pic into mspaint anyway.

                      Re: Flare hack

                      lol..

Man, BF2 Saves all your screenshots in the following directory:

                      C:\Documents and Settings\user\My Documents\Battlefield 2\Screenshots

Each screenshot is saved as a JPG and PNG file. Use the JPG file when uploading as the loss of quality is minimal and its file size is a LOT smaller.

Again, Regarding your problem, it MAY have been just one of those graphical glitches you see. When you throw C4 too fast and try switching to detonator, it shows you throwing another C4 when it's just an illusion. Mabey' they're continuously trying to drop flares even when its reloading, initiating this bug.

Man... Will you stop telling me things I already know? The only thing I did not know was the default key for BF2 screenshots but you were beating around the bush and telling me about JPG compression VS PNG and the printscreen key. I already know all of this Einstein. Anyway, I'm not sure if it was a hack or not. It seems more likely that it was just another one of those annoying BF2 glitches. I'll have to keep an open mind next time I play.

What the HECK Are you talking about. You were complaining about having to Go OUT of the game, and MANUALLY paste the screenshot into MSPaint.

Thing is, BF2 SAVES all your screenies automatically for you in that file route above. That means you can take 100 screenies in a row and they will not overwrite one another.

                          Wake up.

probably another function in the game that EA decided wasn't important enough to be dictated by the server. yay...
