    Help on how to Overclock

Right I have a saphire radeon 9250 256mb, and I want to know how to overclock and what to overclock to. Other specs are shown in my sig.

Will overclocking help improve my graphics card perfromance. My problem is, my terrain setting on BF2 will only stay in low and I want it to either get to medium or high as all my other settings are high.

Help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Compared to the rest of your system that 9250 is kinning your battlefield, OCing will yeild almost no gain because it is at the very low end of the support line.

I'd save at least $150 and get a 6600GT which will practically quadruple your performance.

Ok cheers, I was either going to OC it or get a new graphics card.

I have an X800 in mind, but I just needs to be in stock.

If my Mobo was PCI would I still be able to use an AGP graphics card on it?

no, you need an AGP 2.0 slot or higher.
They are usually brown and set slightly further back than the PCI slots.

Right thats the thing I don't know whether my PC is PCI enabled.

When I start up my PC it goes to the device listings and it says PCI device list etc.

Does that mean my mobo is PCI enabled?

              I don't know the make/manufacturer but I know the model - SiS-661

              Phoenix Technologies is the Brand

              Chipset SiS 616FX
              Sensor ITE 8712

Thats all I know if thats any help, I hope it is PCI enabled other wise I am going to have to spend £160 on an AGP X850Pro.

Almost every computer has PCI slots, but you need a PCI-Express slot.

Yeah, it's a newish computer like I bought it earlier this year so it should have PCI-E.

I just need a way without actually going inside my computer to find it out.

Why do you have a 9250? Is it one of those crappy Alienware computers? Hah.

But seriously if you wanted to play games you shouldn't have gotten that video card. If you bought it any time this year, it was a crappy video card when you got it, and still is now.

Anyway, yeah just buy a new graphics card. NVIDIA 6600GT or higher, or a Radeon 9800pro or higher (the X*** series).

get a x800XL , good card. Make sure you have AGP or PCI-E first. Just google a way to check, theres plenty.
