My guess is:
The worse you are at aiming with usual guns, the better you like the grenade launcher
But perhaps a minimum range before it explodes would be a good thing.

Still, I like BF2 being a game with the noobtube and all those vehicles. It sets BF2 apart from those "all about aiming skills" games like CSS etc...

Lately about half my deaths in a round are from getting killed with the GL. Pretty sad when 40% of the enemy are tubers.

You guys on crack noob tubing is the bomb, i love it, i dont play with it all the time by the way, ussually only on karkand, and again, not the whole round.

atleast sum1 admits to doing it ... I would do it, im not gunna lie ... its like the easiest and best way to boost your K ratio but unfortunately ... I AM AWFUL AT IT:p most of you said its for ppl who cant aim ... well i perfer sniping to using it ... its hard for me to judge just how to "lob" it and were the enemy will be when it lands ... then again i havent rly practiced but I may just start

I disagree its for people who cant aim, most of my F2000 GL kills are from distance, i dont run around with it armed, it's a long range weapon imo. It does take a certain amount of skill to take out a target from distance.

Ditto man, 2100+ kills and climbing, most all at distance, and plenty of vehicles as well. Great weapon against squads or defending flags.....

DPV/FAV are 1-shot kills, Vodniks/HUMVEE's 2-shots - though I've blasted the driver out of them a few times with 1 shot. Damage to heavy armor is light, but you can get kills sometimes when they're taking damage from another source, and at times you can do enough to an APC to scare him away :)

I love my noob (tube). Killing 4 guys in one shot is near to a sexual feeling. I run about with my noob out with no shame. Close, far away, I dont care. I like to make people fly. I like to do it close so then the person can fly over my head. I duck the flying body, turn around and see the mess. Nothing better than noobing someone and seeing them fly past you and hit a wall. Lovely.

Sometimes I think I'm my own little tank. :)

my view on the grenade launcher is only use it long distance. i still see people runnin around with it and usin it when a guy is only 5 feet in front of him, and the both get blown to smithereens. just use it as its meant to be used people.
