    Upgrade Motherboard

    Hi,

I recently just bought a ATI x800 XT 256mg video card, however I own a ASUS P4C800 E-Deluxe and it does not support the card. The video card requires a PCI E 16 port and my motherboard does not have that.

So my question is I want to upgrade to a new motherboard but keep all the same components from my P4C800 E Deluxe model so I can still run my same processor and ram but with the newer board, so my new card will work along with all my other components I have already bought. Can this be done? If not, what would you recommend?

    -Thanks

    Re: Upgrade Motherboard

The answer is...of course! Go to newegg.com and go to motherboard section. They have a advanced search section that allows you to narrow mobos down to socket sizes, cpu brands, abd ,amy other factors.

it depends what socket your cpu is. if its really oldyou prolly won't find a pci-e mobo with that socket
