battlefield 2 peformance on 7800gtx 512mb

Hi,

I'm currently running BF2 in 1280x1024, x4 aa + x8 af @ max ingame settings

And with my setup i'd expect this game to pretty much fly, however i feel the peformance isnt really very good?

Just played 64 player, Map = Kubra Dam

My fps is sometimes around 50-70fps which is fine, but also when i was near center of map and going towards wide open area + not a huge amount of action i am only seeing a constant 40 fps [too slow..]

Fps in shaquira peninsula is 50-70fps most of the time, but drops to 30-40 fps alot

I aint stuttering, which is nice. But i dont get why i am struggling for fps??

Its either going to be your connection thats slowing you down or background processes running while you play bf2, do a quick ctrl+alt+del to have a check or go to start>run>msconfig - startup to look at whats starting up.
If its not that then dont moan too much, think of people like me who would love to have 70fps just once :p

My guess is your CPU, RAM or backround process's are slowing you done. Tell me your Specs, CPU model, RAM, and make sure you aren't running a P2P client.

CPU model = Pentium 4 560 1mb cache with HT Technology.

RAM = 2048MB PC-4200 533MHz DDR2 SDRAM [dual channel]

Aint running no P2P client

only 8000 on 3d mark 05

that must be the cpu bottlenecking the video card you should be getting at least 10000 with that card

i get 7500 and my graphics card is alot slower than yours

do a driver cleaner and get latest driver

dude you think your have problems! yr pc is amazing!
mine wont even run the ****ing graphics properly.
only advice i could give is to update all drivers, cancel any other running programs?

His processor will bottleneck the card. download the latest beta driver and use that.

Defrag etc.

I'm getting 9330 in "05" with a 7800 gtx512meg and a athlon 64 4000.

Wow thats a low 3dmark score. Try Ocing the CPU some.
