Tft issues
I know this is a VERY common issue but here goes anyway. Im having trouble using my new tft with bf2. Now i know about changing the CON files but its really not working and the shortcut command , ive also reinstalled the game three times and updated my gfx card drivers. Everytime its just coming back saying the same old thing. Anyway rig is shown in my sig and the new screen is a Samsung 19" SyncMaster913n. Thanks for any help!

What is the same thing it keeps telling you??
When you uninstalled 3 times did you delete your old profiles?? Reason I ask is because they hold all of your settings, and if they remain there's no point in reinstalling really.
So try Try deleting the folders inside ..\My Documents\Battlfield 2\Profiles\ then start game and use the Retrieve function to get your login back.
Now you have your old Bf2 login, but with default settings. -

Yes i deleted my profiles each time. I 'did' have it working after installing bf2 using my crt and then switching to my tft during gameplay.
I could also launch the game using my tft after adjusting my settings ingame (still had an out of range message but it soon went and the intro movies loaded). However this was on the unpacthed version of the game. After installing the 1.12 patch things went tits up and my crt couldnt even work.
So then i uninstalled bf2 , deleting profiles etc etc reinstalled, crt worked first off , installed patch and now my crt is not even working.Comment

right ive got it down to a problem with the patch. Went through the entire process again this time with using the tft. Got the game working still giving an out of range error at the start of loading however after applying the patch it just bails to desktop.
Have there been any changes in this patch or any others that could be causing this error? Only reason im asking is that ive been stuck at uni for 3 months so ive not really been checking up. Thanks for any help!Comment
