To play Bf2, you must most of the time have the current version of battlefield, almost all servers run the newest patch.

which one I tried the first one download it still says that, I tried the linxus one and it is an unknown file can you please give me another download site for the newest sever!Ok this just started to happen after I installed the epansion pack,specail forcesp.s I have tried to uninsall and try it on the normal bf2 and it didn't work help!!

Ok. Instal the latest patch ( 1.12 ), on the normal Bf2.
then install Special Forces.

now do that and you will be fine.

go to BF2.com-go to downloads and DL the 1.12 patch to your desktop. Then install it which will take quite a while as it is over 200 MBs I think. This is a rather simple process

Lets clear thing up for the poor fellow.

Install Bf2 > Install SF > Install 1.12. Now you are currently uptodate with Bf2 .

If you don't have SF.

Just install Bf2 > Install 1.12.

If you wish to install Sf in the future, you must update again because SF sets your patch back.
