We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.
While all passwords are encrypted and salted, it's recommended that you change your password here when you can.
I was playing on Dragon Valley (32) last night. I was sat in an APC at the bottom of the hill next to the first Chinese base I had a group of about 4 players continuously appearing on the top of the hill tyring to AT me. The commander had the forethought to give me a couple of supply crates and I just sat there picking them off. I had repeated AT strikes but the supply crates repaired me faster than they could damage me. I then got accused of having hacks and aim bots by the 4 dopes who were stupid enough to keep being my cannon fodder. Thankfully a few of the more experienced players pointed out their stupidity.
Your computer does not tell the server how much health and armor you have, the server tells you and all the other computers hooked up to it how much you have, which is why you can't ******** it into thinking you have stronger armor or can take more damage.
Now things like, fog, that is a setting determined on the client side and if Pure Mode wasn't involved in this game, you could manually edit the files on your side and tell it that you can see for 2000 units and not 1000 as an example. Which is why the hacking ****s of the world can mem edit that **** and see further then regs, because Pure Mode does not scan memory, that is for PB, and PB is a whole nother discussion.
Which, coming back around the circle again, is why you can't change person/vehicle health on the client side. Because all that **** is calculated on the server. Disregarding Pure for a moment here--> Which is why you could not manually edit a file to say you have 2x as much armor than normal, the server would over ride that and say 'No You Don't, You Have This Much'.
I just played a match of Karkand. I hit a tank about at least 6 times with an AT weapon in quick succession (I had an ammo pack to get the extra rockets) I saw at least another 4 -5 AT hits whilst I was reloading from other members of my team but the tank remained intact! Even allowing for an engineer or two being nearby surely this isn't normal?
Unless you are hitting the tank on its weak spot, a supply crate will have already repaired the damage you have done, before you can take another shot with your at rocket. When I play armor I am never scared of Anti-tank players when sitting next to a supply crate. Unless there are three or more shooting at me.
once i was in a squad called teamwork on my favorite server, and we all spawned as engineers and got armour. 2 apc and one t90. I was in the gunner's seat on the tank and we were raping the american spawn, all repairing eachother instantly, and picking of c4ers. It was awsome. Back to the point, it's not a hack.
