To an extent vid cards and processors are co-dependant. However it is always better to have a good vid card and lots of ram and an OK processor for games.

just get the 7800gt it can play just as well as the gtx just lower frames a second and spend the extra cash you have left over for ram

but if you have enough for 7800gtx and ram by all means buy them both

yeh get another gig of ram, and u shoul dbe orite, processor might struggle on certain areas of high activity

That's a 7800GTX on highest settings... Runs supersmooth... CLick and then zoom for full view...

Ill tell you, I have a 7800GT and boy BF2 looks just like that. Whats even better than the screen shots is actually seeing it in live motion. Ill be sure to upload a video and some screenies soon.

Okay, I don't have a 7800GTX, but I do have a 6800GT, I can't play on max...but I was making a movie, so i turned everything up and it ran at about 30-50/60 FPS...but I still can't play at this FPS...

The settings were...Lightning medium...everything else on max...res=1000x700(w/e it is)
