Patch problem

Hi,

I'm new to BF2.
I downloaded the patch 'bf2patch_v_102' successfully, but at each time I try to install it, patching fails.

Could you help me please?

Why not just install latest patch 1.12, you don't need to install any of the previous patches.

1st thing to check if you get patching failed is that you have more than enough free hard disk space, 2.5-3 GB. If you have more than one partition try having that amount of free space on all.

I did what you told me to do(download the 1.12 patch).
Patching still fails and now my internet takes forever to load sites.
I downloaded it form gamershell.
What's wrong now?

As I mentioned above the first thing to troubleshoot is to see if you have enough free space on harddrives, preferably 2.5-3 GB before patching.

It needs this space during the patching process.

If the problem is no related to hdd space, then try searhing the forums, e.g use word failed and use option Search Titles Only to start with.

hello,

i have a patch1.12 problem:

I have the PATCHING FAILED error and the reason is this:

Updating ...
error ept0009: Invalid Patch File 'C:\DOCUME~1\JOOSTV~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\bye16.tmp\Disk 1\bf2\patch.rtp'

at the end of install the patch he gives this problem, and if he has give the error patching failed i try to play bf2 and then im getting a black screen 4 sec. and then going back to my desktop THAN HAPPEND ONLY WHEN I HAVE THE PATCHING ERROR PROBLEM if i have no patch installed then i can play but no online.

can somenone help me plz.
